Porsche sets a new record in its own company. The most powerful road model of all time reached 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds. The bolide, which will be available from September, is strictly limited.
There is still room at the top: Porsche is now bringing its most powerful road model of all time onto the market. The 911 GT2 RS, which has been optimized for use on the racetrack, is even faster and more dynamic than the recently presented top model 911 Turbo S.
620 hp for 1370 kilograms
The 3.6-liter boxer engine of the bolide comes through two turbos with variable turbine geometry to 456 kW / 620 hp and is thus 90 hp more than the previous performance primus. Thanks to numerous carbon fiber components and the lack of all-wheel drive, the coupé weighs just 1370 kilograms; the power-to-weight ratio is 2.21 kilograms per hp.
In combination with a six-speed manual transmission, the rear-wheel drive vehicle accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds, and the 200 km / h limit is reached in 9.8 seconds. Less than 20 seconds later, the 300 mark also falls. A maximum of 330 km / h is possible; up to now, the Porsche range ended at 315 km / h.
Starts at 237,578 euros

The standardized fuel requirement is comparatively economical, only 11.9 liters of Super Plus should be used over 100 kilometers. A ceramic brake system ensures adequate deceleration. In addition, specially designed springs and stabilizers as well as an adaptive damper system should ensure safe road holding.
Externally, the new top model differs from its weaker motorized siblings, among other things, through wider wheels, wider wheel arches, a new front spoiler lip and a larger rear spoiler. In the interior there are lightweight bucket seats and lightweight doors with opening loops instead of solid handles. The price list for the GT2 RS, limited to 500 units worldwide, starts at 237,578 euros and will be launched in September. (mid)
