JVC now has a very generous, navigation-capable multimedia unit with extensive connection options on offer. It can also be used as a mobile phone intercom.
JVC offers a new combination of navigation system and extensive multimedia center for the car. The KW-NT1 shows drivers the way on a 6.1-inch display - in more than 30 countries and not least to 2.2 million special destinations, so-called Points Of Interest (POI). This is announced by the manufacturer in Friedberg (Hessen). An SD card slot enables the user, for example, to save additional POIs on Google Maps on their computer and transfer them to the navigation system. The KW-NT1 can also be used as a hands-free device for cell phones via Bluetooth.
Amplifier on board
A USB port can be used to connect iPods or other players to play music and videos. The latter requires a cable that users have to buy. The JVC device also serves as a radio and plays CDs or DVDs - regardless of whether it is WAV or MP3 files. An amplifier with four times 50 watts is responsible for the sound. The device, which is available now, costs just under 1,300 euros. (dpa / tmn)
