Volkswagen and IG Metall have reached an agreement for the 115,000 in-house tariff employees. In addition, there is 450 euros for the company pension scheme.
IG Metall has again negotiated a deal with a surcharge for around 115,000 in-house tariff employees at Volkswagen. The union and employer agreed on Thursday night to 3.4 percent more money from June onwards with a one-year term, as IG Metall announced in the morning. The increase in income is therefore at the level of the recently reached compromise in the area tariff for the German metal and electrical industry.
VW increases apprenticeship positions
Depending on the pay group, employees in the VW in-house tariff have between 65 and 209 euros more gross per month. In addition, they get 450 euros for their company pension scheme to cover three initial zero months without any increase. The colleagues in the nationwide flat rate only get a one-off payment of 150 euros at this point.
IG Metall also obtained the assurance that VW will provide at least 1,400 apprenticeships over the next three years instead of the 1,250 apprenticeships previously promised. (dpa)
