The VW Group offers the VW Passat with a new economy diesel. According to the manufacturer, the unit should only consume 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers.
Volkswagen is now also offering a particularly economical BlueMotion diesel for the new Passat. According to the manufacturer, the 1.6 liter TDI engine has an output of 77 kW / 105 PS. It should be content with an average of 4.1 liters in the sedan and 4.3 liters in the estate car (CO2 emissions: 109 g / km and 113 g / km).
VW Passat with a range of 1700 kilometers
The diesel engine is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. With these consumption values, a range of 1700 kilometers should be achieved on one tank of fuel. One tank of fuel would be enough for the Wolfsburg - Paris route and back. Standard equipment includes lowering and light alloy wheels. The prices start at 26,450 euros for the sedan, the station wagon costs almost 1,000 euros more. The lowered body and the closed, black painted radiator grille with chrome trim, like the optional "Buenos Aires" light alloy wheels size 7.5 J x 17, significantly improve the aerodynamics of the Passat.
