A new diesel from Renault for the alliance partner Nissan promises more torque and better sprinter qualities. The new unit is supposed to bring the Nissan Note up to speed with the same consumption.
With a 76 kW / 103 PS turbodiesel, Nissan is now expanding the NOTE engine range. The 1.5 dCi engine developed by Renault has a standard, integrated particle filter and is shifted via a manual six-speed gearbox. The new diesel unit is used in the NOTE Acenta and Tekna; the surcharge compared to the 63 kW / 86 PS diesel engine that remains in the range is 1,400 euros.
More torque with the same consumption
The common rail direct injection engine has a torque of 240 Newton meters, which is applied at 2,000 crankshaft revolutions. The consumption of 5.1 liters / 100 km (135 grams of CO2 per kilometer) corresponds to the level of the same performance but less torque diesel. The top speed, however, increases from 168 to 180 km / h, the sprint from zero to 100 km / h is completed in 11.1 instead of 13.0 seconds. (AG)
