The Stuttgart sports car manufacturer Porsche is replacing its sales and marketing director. As the company announced on Monday, Bernhard Maier is moving up to the board.
Previously head of Germany
The 50-year-old has been with Porsche since 2001 and was previously head of Germany. His predecessor Klaus Berning is said to have resigned at his own request with immediate effect. Already at the weekend, Der Spiegel reported that Berning had to vacate his post. He had been accused of showing too little creativity in opening up new markets.
On Monday, the sports car manufacturer also announced that there had been changes in the supervisory board. Five VW board members moved into the supervisory board of the Stuttgart company. In addition to VW CEO Martin Winterkorn, Christian Klingler, Francisco Javier Garcia Sanz, Hans Dieter Pötsch and Horst Neumann have recently joined the supervisory board.
