The manufacturers have announced almost 150 new models for 2007. We present the new products to you in five parts. Last part: From Seat to Volvo.
Seat goes into the race in 2007 with the León Cupra, but above all Toyota, Volvo and Volkswagen bring really new models: Volvo the C30, VW the Tiguan and Tojota the Auris. The overview from Seat to Volvo.
Saab

The Swedes are doing relatively little. In January, the long announced Saab 9-5 Biopower with an ethanol engine should finally be available. And only in August there will be a facelift for the 9-3 - as usual as a sedan, sports suit and convertible. And optionally with a biopower motor.
Seat

At Seat, the particularly lively model versions are called “Cupra”. In February the time has come for the León: The Seat León Cupra takes off on the slopes with 240 hp. That is enough for an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.4 seconds and for a speed of 247. Anyone interested in the fast León should be there for around 26,000 euros. The Spain fans will have to wait until the IAA until the next Seat innovation. Seat launches the Altea Crossover in September.
?? koda
After the Geneva Motor Show in March, ?? koda is sending the Fabia completely overhauled and in a fresh design to dealers. The successful compact model will not only look good: the engines will range from 60 to 105 hp, there will probably also be a six-speed automatic transmission. Towards the end of the year, in November, koda will add station wagons and notchback sedans. Similar to the Peugeot 206/207, the old version will continue to be built for a while. In April, Skoda is launching a robust version of the Octavia under the name Octavia Scout. Either with diesel (140 hp) or gasoline engine (150 hp), it should cost from 26,590 euros.
Smart

Make one out of three: Of the Roadster, Forfour and Fortwo, only the Fortwo remains - the “Ur-Smart”. With a thorough facelift, he is now getting his last chance to make up for the losses of the past and finally roll into profitability. When the thoroughly revised Smart Fortwo is sold in the branches from April, it will have become 20 centimeters longer, a little wider and equipped with new engines: the gasoline engines are between 61 and 84 hp, the CDI diesel 45 hp. Inside, the Smart has become more common - due to the legal requirements in the USA, where it will also be sold in the future. With us, the base price should be 9500 euros.
SsangYong

The Koreans are being humble in 2007 - only a new model has been announced. The Actyon Sport comes onto the market in March as a four-door pickup with two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Propulsion: 141 hp diesel.
Subaru
Even Subaru does not have very much plans in 2007: Something does not happen until September - the successor to the six-year-old Impreza is coming. Subarulike with all-wheel drive and boxer engine, also larger and with a more modern look.
Suzuki

The most important thing happens right at the beginning of the year: In January 2007 Suzuki brings the Swift Sport. With 125 hp and a sporty outfit, it looks great. The Swift Diesel will follow in December.
Toyota

Toyota has a full program in 2007. In January the Yaris TS starts relatively leisurely, a 140 hp compact runabout with sports suspension. But then Toyota really gets going: the Corolla will be replaced in April. The new one is called Auris and is slightly larger and of higher quality in the ambience. You can choose between two petrol engines with 97 and 124 hp and two powerful diesels with 126 and 177 hp. According to the plan, the Corolla Verso will be given a facelift in June. And at the end of the year, the Land Cruiser 140 will replace the Land Cruiser 100 in November.
Volkswagen

The word “cross” played a not entirely insignificant role at VW in 2007. The rustic-style Cross Golf will be presented in January. The Cross Touran will follow in March. But when it comes to offroad, VW 2007 has more than just looks: the revision of the successful Touareg is due in February. For him, the facelift will primarily affect the design.
Those interested in the compact SUV named Tiguan will have to wait until the IAA in September - then it will be officially presented. It should not only be available with all-wheel drive but also with front-wheel drive and instead of a pump nozzle with one of the new common-rail diesel engines. Almost forgotten, but a great car: the Phaeton. VW is giving him a facelift in August. What else is coming from Wolfsburg? In April the already overdue Golf Variant station wagon rolls to the dealerships and from July VW will be putting the fast-paced version of the then no longer so staid family carriage on wheels with the Passat R36. Finally, there is the Caddy: As a maxi version, it will be available from September, stretched by 40 centimeters and equipped with seven seats.
Volvo
The Swedes go poaching: In January they send the chic C30 on a golf hunt. The compact Volvo is offered as a two-door model with a range of petrol engines from 100 to 220 hp and three diesel units with 109, 136 and 180 hp. The C30 will not be cheap: the base prices are between 19,100 and almost 28,000 euros. A lot of money for a compact car. In June, Volvo gives the S40 / V50 a facelift. Two months later, in August, the slightly stretched successor to the V70 comes, which is based on the Ford Mondeo corporate platform. And in time for the IAA in September, the Swedes are pushing the XC70.
