Honda will equip the new Civic Type R with a 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engine. The compact sports car is to be presented at the Paris Motor Show (September 30 to October 15) and has an output of 148 kW / 201 PS. According to the manufacturer in Offenbach, it accelerates to 100 km / h in 6.6 seconds. The top speed is given as 235 km / h.
Wider gauge
The Type R also looks sporty. For example, the rear track width has been increased by 20 millimeters compared to other Civic versions.

Ride is on light alloy wheels with tire size 225/40 ZR18. In addition, the ground clearance has been reduced by 15 millimeters. In order to save weight, the manufacturer has omitted components such as the trunk cover and underrun protection for the engine as well as some sound insulation material. Sales will start in spring 2007, prices are not yet known.
