VW has equipped the Caddy with its own corporate identity. In addition to the new radiator grille, the high-roof estate also has more fuel-efficient engines.

The newly renovated VW Caddy can now be ordered. The vehicle, which is popular as a high-roof combination with craftsmen and as an upgraded car with families, will roll out to customers in September. The success story of its predecessor is to be repeated with a new look and economical engines: the model rolled off the production line 800,000 times between 2004 and 2009.

Narrow grille and angular lights

Just like the T5, the Caddy now also adorns the new VW brand face with a narrow radiator grille and angular lights. In addition, the interior has been upgraded and now has an expandable second row of seats as standard. The storage volume of the five-seat version can grow to up to 3030 liters. If you need seven seats, a third row of seats is available for an extra charge.

The engine program comprises six engines with a power range from 55 kW / 75 PS to 103 kW / 140 PS. The diesel engines all work with common rail injection and have a diesel particulate filter on board. For the diesel engine with 75 kW / 102 PS there is a seven-speed dual clutch transmission in the order form, the 103 kW / 140 PS diesel comes with an optional six-speed DSG transmission. The 81 kW / 110 PS version is only supplied in combination with all-wheel drive.

From 13,595 euros

The smallest diesel with Blue Motion Technology is the most economical in terms of fuel consumption. Thanks to start-stop and braking energy recovery, the 75 kW / 102 PS diesel engine only consumes 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers. On the petrol side, there is a 1.2-liter TSI engine with 63 kW / 86 PS and 77 kW / 105 PS to choose from. In addition, the natural gas version 2.0 Ecofuel with 80 kW / 109 PS remains in the range.

The standard equipment of the new compact van includes anti-skid ESP and daytime running lights. Roof rails and a radio navigation system are available for an extra charge. The prices for the new model start at 13,595 euros net for the panel van with 63 kW / 86 PS. (mid)
