The return trip of the ski friends will take a little longer next weekend. Otherwise, the ADAC hardly expects any disruptions on the motorways from March 7th to 9th.

A quiet weekend awaits drivers - beyond the ski areas. Because from March 7th to 9th it will be more turbulent on the streets of the ski areas. Due to the end of the vacation in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Saarland and Belgium, the ADAC expects heavy return traffic. In addition, weekend and day trippers will also be on their way to the Alps. According to the traffic club, there is a risk of traffic jams on the following routes:

• A 1 Hamburg - Bremen - Münster - Cologne

• A 3 Nuremberg - Würzburg - Frankfurt - Cologne

• A 4 Kirchheimer-Dreieck - Erfurt - Chemnitz

• A 5 Basel - Karlsruhe - Frankfurt

• A 7 Füssen - Würzburg - Frankfurt - Hanover

• A 8 Salzburg - Munich - Stuttgart - Karlsruhe

• A 9 Munich - Nuremberg

• A 93 Kufstein - Inntaldreieck

• A 95 Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen

• A 99 Munich bypass

Getting to and from the ski areas in neighboring countries will also take longer. The usual suspects are affected: In Austria the Tauern, Inntal and Brenner autobahns as well as the Fernpass route and the most important federal highways in Vorarlberg, Tyrol and the Salzburg region. In Italy, the Brenner route and the roads in and out of the Val Pusteria, Val Gardena and Val Badia as well as in Vinschgau will be heavily used. In Switzerland, skiers and motorists meet on the A 1 St. Gallen - Zurich - Bern and the Gotthard route on the roads in the ski areas of Graubünden, the Bernese Oberland, the Valais and central Switzerland.

Further disabilities must be taken into account from March 6th around Geneva. There the automobile salon opens its doors, 700,000 visitors are expected.

To avoid annoying waiting times from the outset, click on the traffic jam indicator of the Autogazette before starting your journey, which shows all traffic jams on German autobahns and updates every five minutes. (AG)
