The Mercedes SLS AMG can also be driven open from autumn. In addition to the gullwing, the roadster variant is the second independent production by the in-house tuner from Affalterbach. The 420 kW / 571 PS two-seater will celebrate its premiere at this year's IAA from September 13 in Frankfurt.
Roof opened in eleven seconds
Both the coupé and the roadster were designed in parallel so that most of the parts of the two cars are identical. In addition to the 6.2 liter displacement of the eight-cylinder, the roadster also weighs as much as its closed colleague. In theory, the consumption values will then be 13.2 liters. If you openly dare to approach the top speed of 317 km / h, the fuel gauge also tumbles into the cellar.
Prices will only be announced when sales start in autumn. The roadster, whose roof can be opened or closed within eleven seconds at speeds of up to 50 km / h, will, however, clearly exceed the entry-level price of the coupé of 186,000 euros. (AG)
