Opel continues to expand its range of LPG. After the Corsa, Meriva and Astra, the Insigna can now also be equipped with the liquid gas ex works.
Opel offers the fourth series with liquid gas drive. After the Corsa, Meriva and Astra, the Insignia is now also available as a 1.4 Turbo LPG Ecoflex in all body variants sedan, hatchback and sports tourer. The new model has an output of 103 kW / 140 PS and should consume 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers.
Low consumption costs for the Opel Insignia 1.4 Turbo LPG Ecoflex
Due to the lower cost of LPG, the LPG version is around 36 percent lower in consumption costs than the 1.4 turbo gasoline engine. The 42 liter gas tank is installed in the spare wheel well and does not take up any space in the trunk. Opel states that around 500 kilometers can be covered on one gas tank. If the petrol tank is then used via automatic switching, the result is a range of up to 1700 kilometers.
If the liquid gas is used, up to 15 percent fewer pollutants are emitted. The prices for the LPG version start at 28,150 euros. That is exactly 2000 euros more than for the comparable turbo gasoline engine. In the second half of the year, Opel will also become LPGfor the Zafira, with which the Autogazette could already drive.
