BMW has presented the third version of its high-performance M3 sports car. A striking feature of the convertible is the power dome on the bonnet.

The convertible season is just around the corner. You can see that very clearly at BMW at the moment. Where the new one-series convertible has just been officially presented, the Munich-based company could not leave out the three-series convertible. And so BMW presents the M3 version of the convertible, easy to recognize by the power dome on the bonnet and the large air inlets under the grille. For the roof, BMW opted for a three-part hardtop that disappears electrohydraulically in the rear of the four-seater in 22 seconds at the push of a button. At the rear, the diffuser and four tailpipes testify to the not exactly modest engine power of the rear-wheel drive vehicle and guarantee a full sound.

BMW has installed the standard M3 V8 engine with a displacement of four liters and 420 hp. The driving performance is 5.3 seconds for the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h and a (regulated) 250 km / h top. BMW specifies a consumption value of 12.9 liters per 100 kilometers.

After the coupe and sedan, the convertible is the third body variant of the high-performance sports car. The official premiere is planned for the Geneva Motor Show, the start of sales for early summer. Incidentally, the price is already fixed: from 73,950 euros upwards. (AG)
