Ford offers new engines for three series. At the same time, the Cologne-based carmaker offers a newly developed six-speed automatic.
Ford expands the engine program for the Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max. The manufacturer also offers the three series with a newly developed six-speed automatic. As the manufacturer announced on Tuesday in Cologne, the new engine-gearbox combinations are now available from dealers.
New 2.3 liter engine
For the petrol group there is the automatic transmission together with a new 2.3-liter engine with 118 kW / 160 PS. Its maximum torque is 208 Nm, and in the Mondeo it reaches a top speed of 207 km / h, according to Ford. Consumption there is 9.3 liters and CO2 emissions are 223 grams per kilometer. According to the manufacturer, the prices for this combination start at 27,075 euros in the Mondeo, 28,600 euros in the S-Max and 30,375 euros in the Galaxy.
In the diesel warehouse, Ford links the transmission to a likewise new two-liter engine with 96 kW / 130 PS and 320 Nm, which in the Mondeo reaches 200 km / h, 7.1 liters and 189 g / km. According to the company, prices start at 28,400 euros in the Mondeo, 29,925 euros in the S-Max and 31,700 euros in the Galaxy.
In addition, Ford is revising the rest of the diesel range and removing the last diesel engine without a particulate filter from its range. In addition to the new engine, there will only be two other variants with two liters displacement and 85 kW / 115 PS or 103 kW / 140 PS. At the beginning of next year, however, a more powerful diesel is to come. (dpa)
