The Monegasque small series forge Venturi is sending the first 200 electric vehicles to the start. The three-seater eco-car feeds its battery with solar cells and wind turbines.
“Police” is written on one of the strange three-seaters that the Monegasque car manufacturer Venturi wants to bring to ecologically correct customers. If the police actually turned the "Electric" into a company car, it would be easy for criminals. Because the eco-vehicle is self-sufficient - and needs a break after a few kilometers to recharge its batteries.
2.5 square meter solar system
However, the mobility concept of the Monegasque is definitely fascinating. Venturi's engineers have put a 2.5 square meter solar system on the car's roof. When the weather is nice, the photovoltaic cells feed the nickel-metal hybrid battery. The car can travel seven kilometers on one solar charge. If that's not enough, you can tune the eco-car with up to three wind turbines. The wind energy is also stored in the battery and when a strong breeze blows, the environmental car can manage another 15 kilometers per day.
If Petrus lets the eco fans down, “Electric” can also fill up at the socket. It takes five hours until the battery is fully charged, and with the power from the socket the cute car can even travel 50 kilometers.
50 km / h top

Of course, the “Electric” cannot compete with the performance of conventional cars. The eco-car is on the road with just 20 hp. But because it only weighs 350 kilos, it still manages 50 kilometers per hour of peak performance. The design of the airy three-seater is reminiscent of a golf course shuttle - and this is exactly where the Electric could be used, believe its developers. The sun-hungry car would probably also do a good job for the shuttle service between chic Cote d-Azur hotels and the beach promenade. Car maker Venturi has now launched the first 200 copies - at a price of 24,000 euros plus tax.

In the next few years, the production figures are to be increased significantly - and the net prices to be reduced to 15,000 euros per piece - according to the plans of the Monegasque. The eco-avant-garde also want to bring a single-seater onto the market. Perhaps that would be the ideal vehicle for the south of France's policewomen. bring.
