Mazda Shows European Version Of The CX-7

Mazda presented the European version of the crossover model CX-7 at the Paris Motor Show. In the course of the coming year, the model should be available from dealers in this country.

The sporty crossover model Mazda CX-7, which has already been successfully launched in North America, will also appear in Europe in the course of the coming year. External identifying features of the European version shown for the first time at the Paris Motor Show are a modified front bumper with redesigned fog lights, a rear fog light integrated in the rear bumper and other minor design modifications.

The 2.3-liter four-cylinder with turbocharging known from the Mazda6 MPS and Mazda3 MPS is, according to the manufacturer, an adequate power source for the sporty Mazda CX-7. In the European version, the gasoline direct injection engine made entirely of aluminum has an output of 190 kW / 258 hp. The maximum torque is 380 Nm and is already there at 3,000 revolutions per minute. This means that the Mazda CX-7 reaches a top speed of 210 km / h and manages the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.9 seconds, Mazda said. It is shifted via a sporty, manual six-speed gearbox. In general, Mazda equips all European CX-7 models with the variable "Active Torque-Split" all-wheel drive system.
