The new VW CrossPolo will hit dealerships in June at prices starting at € 16,550. As a diesel, the small car, which is based on off-road vehicles, costs from 18,700 euros. There is a choice of three petrol engines and diesel engines with a power range from 51 kW / 70 PS to 77 kW / 105 PS, some with an optionally available 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
Chassis raised by 15 millimeters
The top petrol engine CrossPolo 1.2 TSI, a supercharged direct injection engine, accelerates to 100 km / h in 9.9 seconds, according to the manufacturer. The average consumption is 5.5 liters, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 128 g / km. The diesel engines require an average of 4.3 liters (CO2 emissions: 113 g / km).
The standard equipment includes sports seats, leather steering wheel and heated exterior mirrors. The main difference between the CrossPolo and the basic Polo is the 15 millimeter higher chassis and the silver roof rails. (dpa / tmn)
