Even before the official market launch of the Opel Mokka, the Rüsselsheim-based carmaker has already received 25,000 orders for the compact SUV across Europe. In October it rolls to the dealers.

The customers have obviously been waiting for the Opel Mokka. Even before the market launch in October, the Rüsselsheim-based carmaker had over 25,000 orders for the subcompact SUV, as the company announced on Wednesday.

"With the Mocha, our product offensive is entering the next round. The successful receipt of orders shows that the Mocha is a direct hit," said Opel Sales Director Alfred E. Rieck. Most orders for the mocha currently come from Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Russia

Product offensive continues with Adam

The price of the Mocha, which has been available to order since June, starts at 18,990 euros for the 1.6 ecoFlex with 115 hp. The compact SUV is also available as a turbo gasoline engine with 140 hp and as a 1.7 liter CDTI with 130 hp. Optionally, the standard front-wheel drive Opel Mokka can also be ordered with all-wheel drive. The mocha is 4.28 meters long and offers space for five people. In the Mokka, ergonomic seats with the “Healthy Back Campaign” seal of approval are also being offered for the first time in the compact B segment.

Opel is continuing its product offensive with the Mokka: in the first half of the year, the Adam miniature car produced at the Opel plant in Eisenach and a new convertible will follow. (AG / FM)
