AMG has seasoned the C 63. The Mercedes subsidiary equipped the already tuned C-Class again with an increase in performance.
The name says it all: The three-digit number of the "Edition 507" stands for the power in hp. And it stands for a whopping increase in performance of 50 horses that the engineers at the in-house Mercedes tuning company AMG have given the C 63 - i.e. the tightened C-Class. The drive is the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which applies a torque of 610 Newton meters to the crankshaft. Some parts of the power plant such as pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft come from the SLS AMG racing car and make the engine three kilograms lighter.

The C-Class Coupé and the sedan equipped with it sprint from a standing start to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds, the station wagon version T-model takes 4.3 seconds, the top speed is limited to 280 km / h in all variants. The average consumption is 12 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 280 g / km. A larger sports brake system with composite brake discs, six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear ensure more control and safety, even on particularly hard driving.
Visually, the stronger than strong series can be recognized by the aluminum bonnet with two openings, 19-inch light-alloy wheels in a cross-spoke design, darkened headlights and exterior mirror housings painted black.
Mercedes C 63 AMG Edition 507 celebrates its premiere in Geneva
In the interior, customers can choose between three equipment variants, all with plenty of leather, sports seats and various applications. Mercedes has not yet announced a price, which is being held for the premiere at the Geneva Motor Show (March 7th to 17th).
The pleasure shouldn't be very cheap, after all, the C 63 AMG basic model with 336 kW / 457 hp costs 71,757 euros, the coupe 73,006 and the station wagon called 74,315 euros. Anyone who is still willing to pay must wait until at least June. Then the first models will be delivered. (SP-X)
