Audi achieved another increase in sales in September. The Ingolstadt carmaker is thus confirming its goal of creating the eleventh delivery record in a row.
The car manufacturer Audi posted a significant increase in sales in September. Compared to the same month last year, the number of vehicles sold increased by 7.3 percent to 83,200, announced the company belonging to the VW group in Ingolstadt on Thursday. Calculated for the first nine months, sales grew by 8.4 percent to 684,700 vehicles.

Audi confirmed the recently raised forecast of 890,000 vehicles sold this year at the Paris Motor Show. "We are clearly on course to achieve the eleventh delivery record in a row for the full year." Last year the Ingolstadt-based company delivered 829,000 vehicles. In Europe, the car manufacturer recorded a sales increase of 6.4 percent to 60,800 vehicles in September. The carmaker also grew in the hotly contested US market, albeit less strongly. Here sales climbed 1.9 percent to 8,004 vehicles.
Business in China developed rapidly. Here, deliveries rose by 31.5 percent to 7,877 units. Above all, the A3, the A4 Cabriolet, the A6 and the new off-road vehicle Q7 were in demand, it said
