The end of the Easter travel wave on the weekend from April 17th to 19th hardly causes any disturbances on the highways. Otherwise, according to the ADAC, it remains largely quiet.

According to the ADAC, the last Easter tourist traffic this coming weekend will not cause serious traffic jams on the motorways. Only holidaymakers from Schleswig-Holstein are returning. Otherwise slow-moving traffic and standstill can only occur in front of conurbations and motorway construction sites, especially on the following routes:

• A 1 Cologne - Dortmund and Osnabrück - Bremen

• A 3 Würzburg - Frankfurt - Cologne - Oberhausen

• A 4 Heerlen / Aachen - Cologne

• A 5 Heidelberg - Darmstadt

• A 6 Kaiserslautern - Mannheim and Heilbronn - Nuremberg

• A 7 Ulm - Würzburg and Kassel - Hanover - Hamburg

• A 8 Karlsruhe - Stuttgart - Munich

• A 13 Schönefelder Kreuz - Dresden

• A 45 Hagen - Gießen

• A 61 Koblenz - Mönchengladbach

• A 96 Lindau - Munich

Especially the routes in and around Hanover are predestined for possible traffic jams this coming weekend, as the marathon takes place next to the Hanover Fair on Sunday. There are also marathons in Bonn and Leipzig.

According to the traffic club, most of the roads in neighboring countries will also be freely passable. Here, too, there is only a threat of traffic jams in front of local construction sites. To avoid possible disruptions, click on the traffic jam indicator on the Autogazette before starting your journey, which displays the traffic jams on German highways and is updated every five minutes.
