The Nissan Qashqai caused a stir at the market launch not only because of its name. Four years later, the compact SUV is also very reliable as a used vehicle.
Why? Many people asked themselves that when Nissan presented its first crossover model. The reason for this was the model name borrowed from a nomad people: Qashqai. Why does a car manufacturer give its product a name that nobody can spell off the cuff? The Qashqai turns out to be less questionable in terms of loyalty to its drivers. Because in the compact SUV class, the car scores above average in the ADAC breakdown statistics.
First models with teething problems
The Qashqai is in the front midfield, confirms the ADAC. A few entries in the breakdown statistics were made mainly by copies built up to 2009: For example, the engine mounts of vehicles from 2007 often broke. In gasoline engines built in 2007 and 2008, the fuel pumps often went dead. In 2009 cars, defective clutches called the breakdown assistance. In diesels of all model years, the turbo hoses often slipped off or the particle filters clogged (model years 2008/2009).
In 2007, Nissan launched the Qashqai, which is available as an all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive vehicle. The crossover, which was mainly designed for Europe, is built in Sunderland, UK. In 2008 the longer version +2 followed for a total of seven passengers with a third seat. During a facelift in spring 2010, the SUV got new lights on the front and rear. In addition, the underbody was smoothed to make the car more streamlined.
From 11,450 euros
There are three petrol engines and four diesel engines for the Qashqai. Depending on the year of construction and design, the Otto engines produce between 84 kW / 114 PS and 104 kW / 141 PS. The oil burners bring it to a minimum of 76 kW / 103 PS and a maximum of 110 kW / 150 PS.
On the used car market, the prices for the SUV start at 11,450 euros, according to the current Schwacke list. That is how much you have to pay for a Qashqai 1.6 visia with 84 kW / 114 PS from 2007. The cheapest diesel is the Qashqai 1.5 dCi visia from the same year of construction, which has an output of 78 kW / 106 PS and costs around 12,200 euros. A long-wheelbase version of a top-powered diesel from 2009, such as the Qashqai + 2 2.0 dCi DPF 4x4 tekna, costs around 21,900 euros. (dpa / tmn)
