Peugeot uses cornering lights for the first time in small cars. The headlights of the 407 Coupé also adapt to the course of the road.

The Peugeot 207 receives static cornering lights. The successor to the 206 is thus the first small car from the Löwen brand that illuminates the road better when cornering and thus offers more active safety. At the command of the control unit, two additional H7 lamps light up in the main headlights at an angle of 30 degrees into the curve, depending on the driving speed. As a result, the light cone already shines in the direction in which the vehicle will drive in the next moment.

Active from five km / h

In the 407 Coupé, on the other hand, adaptive headlights are offered which, depending on the equipment, have this technology as standard or as an option. While the cornering light on the 207 is activated from a speed of 20 kilometers per hour, the light on the 407 is already active from a speed of five km / h in both dipped and high beam mode. With a rotation speed of up to 15 degrees per second, the headlights on the 407 Coupé adapt immediately to the course of the road.
