The car manufacturers can easily get over the slump in the German market due to the very high foreign demand. The best example is the Wolfsburg car manufacturer VW.
The VW brand continued its successful course worldwide in September despite the downturn in the German car market. Since the beginning of the year, with 2.73 million cars, 8.2 percent more cars have been sold than in the same period last year, the Wolfsburg-based car maker reported on Monday. In September alone, the brand delivered around 327,000 cars, 7.6 percent more than a year ago. With a wide range of models, VW is aiming for a sales record of more than 3.5 million Volkswagen cars this year, explained VW boss Martin Winterkorn.
There are already more than 10,000 advance orders for the new compact Tiguan off-road vehicle, which will be launched on November 9, initially in Germany and then in other countries. In addition, the small car study presented at the IAA International Motor Show in September is up! met with a lot of approval. A second version will be presented shortly at the Tokyo Motor Show.
