Toyota offers the “Travel” special model for the Yaris, RAV4 and Avensis. All vehicles are offered with a standard navigation device, among other things.
The Japanese car maker Toyota is offering the Yaris, RAV4 and Avensis as a special “Travel” model. As the company announced in Cologne, the market launch of the Yaris and RAV4 Travel will take place on September 8th. The Avensis is already at the dealerships. The highlight of all three models is a standard navigation device.
Integrated navigation device
The TNS 400 audio / navigation system integrated into the center console is used in the Yaris. It consists of a radio with CD player and MP3 playback function and a navigation unit from the manufacturer Tom Tom, which is operated via a touchscreen. The Yaris Travel also has a parking aid, a height and length adjustable leather steering wheel with integrated audio control buttons and air conditioning.
The special model is available as a three- or five-door with the 1.3-liter VVT-i petrol engine (64 kW / 87 PS) and with the 1.4-liter D-4D diesel engine (66 kW / 90 PS) available with five-speed manual transmission. Prices start at 15,890 euros for the petrol engine with three doors, the diesel is available from 17,340 euros. The five-door model costs 700 euros extra each. The price advantage is 600 euros.
1320 euros price advantage with the RAV4
The RAV4 Travel has a navigation device with a 6.5-inch color touchscreen monitor, voice control function, and a BluetoothTM hands-free system that can be operated using the steering wheel buttons. The RAV4 also has automatic air conditioning as standard, and the travel package also has cruise control, 17-inch alloy wheels and fog lights. The RAV4 Travel is available in conjunction with the 112 kW / 152 PS VVT-i gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters and the 2.2-liter D-4D diesel engine (100 kW / 136 PS). The prices start at 30,500 euros, the price advantage is 1320 euros.
The Avensis Travel, which, like the RAV4, is based on the equipment variant Sol, is available as a four-door notchback sedan, five-door hatchback model and station wagon and also offers a DVD navigation system with dynamic route guidance and a 6.5-inch color monitor with touchscreen function. The Avensis Travel is also equipped with 16 inch alloy wheels for the 1.8 l VVT-i and 17 inch for the 2.0 l VVT-i, the 2.0 l D-4D and 2.2 l D-CAT. The price for the Avensis starts at 25,000 euros for the four-door sedan with the 95 kW / 129 hp 1.8-liter petrol engine; the five-door is available from 25,500 euros, the Combi from 26,000 euros.
