In mid-May, Chevrolet launches the notchback model of the Cruze with quite subdued prices. The model shares the platform with the Opel Astra announced for autumn.
The new compact sedan Cruze from Chevrolet is scheduled to hit dealerships on May 16. The notchback model is offered at prices from 14,990 euros, announced the American-Korean subsidiary of the General Motors Group in Rüsselsheim. The Cruze shares the platform with the upcoming Opel Astra, is 4.60 meters long and has a trunk volume of 450 liters. Standard equipment includes four airbags and ESP anti-skid protection.
Three engines
There is a choice of two petrol and initially a diesel engine. According to Chevrolet, the base model is a 1.6-liter with 83 kW / 116 PS. It reaches a maximum of 185 km / h and consumes an average of 6.8 liters (CO2 emissions: 159 g / km). For prices starting at 19,690 euros, there is a 1.8-liter with 104 kW / 141 PS that achieves 200 km / h with the same consumption. The diesel costs from 21,290 euros, has a displacement of two liters and has an output of 110 kW / 150 PS - the consumption is specified as 5.6 liters (148 g / km).
