VW is now also offering the 210 hp TSI engine for the Eos and Scirocco. It is already used in the Golf GTI.
The VW Group is expanding the engine range for the Scirocco and the Eos. The 2.0 TSI with 210 PS, which is already known from the Golf GTI, will also be used in both cars. This unit replaces the 2.0 TSI with 200 PS. Despite more power, the new engine should achieve a fuel consumption reduction of up to nine percent, VW announced on Thursday.
EU5 emissions standard
The engine meets the EU5 emissions standard and should only consume 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers (Eos: 7.2 liters / 100 km). The fuel savings for the Scirocco are up to five percent. In both vehicles the torque of 280 Newton meters is between 1,700 and 5,000 revolutions per minute. The Scirocco completes the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.9 seconds, the Eos in 7.8 seconds.
In the Eos as well as in the Scirocco, either the standard six-speed manual transmission or the optional 6-speed dual clutch transmission can be used. The price for the Scirocco is 26,050 euros, that for the Eos at 31,975 euros. (AG)
