The number of motorway construction sites has decreased in Germany. The longest section to be built is now on the A9 between Bitterfeld and Köselitz.
The number of motorway construction sites in Germany is declining slightly. According to the Auto Club Europa (ACE) there are currently 410 construction sites. That is 49 less than a count three weeks ago, reports the club. The return traffic used will be relieved slightly on some routes. A total of 1403 kilometers of motorway can currently only be used to a limited extent. That corresponds to six percent of the entire route network.
A5 and A4 on the squares
According to the ACE, the longest construction site in Germany is on the A9 between the Bitterfeld / Wolfen junction and the Köselitz temporary junction. The roadway will be rehabilitated over a distance of 20.4 kilometers.
In second place is the construction site on the A5 between AS Zeppelinheim and the Darmstädter Kreuz (18.8 kilometers). Third place is occupied by the construction section on the A4 between AS Ronneberg and AS Meerane (15.2 kilometers). (dpa / tmn)
