BMW has made the prices for the new generation of the X3 public. At the start, interested parties can choose between a gasoline engine and a diesel engine.
The prices for the new edition of the BMW X3 expected at the end of this year have now been announced. The base price of the SUV, which is to compete with competitors like the Audi Q5 or the Volvo XC 60, is 39,100 euros for the 135 kW / 184 hp 2.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine xDrive 20d.
Petrol from just under 52,000 euros
Buyers who prefer the even more powerful 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder petrol engine with 225 kW / 306 PS must shell out at least 51,850 euros. That is over 6000 euros more than the comparable previous model cost. In return, an adaptive 8-speed automatic transmission is standard on board. If you don't want to do without the convenience of an 8-speed automatic in the diesel version of the new X3, you have to pay an extra 2300 euros.
The diesel SUV comes to customers with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. The electric seat adjustment for the two front seats, which is included in the price of the petrol version as well as a two-zone automatic air conditioning, also costs an extra 1290 euros.
Further engines will follow
The latter is estimated at an extra 650 euros for the xDrive20d. Leather upholstery costs an additional 1,800 euros for both models. As usual with BMW, other engines will follow little by little after the market launch. (mid)
