For the market launch in mid-November, Ford will offer the C-Max in two versions. The van will then be offered as both a five-seater and a seven-seater.
Ford will be launching the new C-Max in two versions in mid-November. The compact van is available as a 4.38 meter long five-seater and as a 14 centimeter longer Grand C-Max with seven seats, whereby the third row of seats can be lowered into the vehicle floor. Prices start at 18,600 euros. For the Grand version, at least 1500 euros more are due, the manufacturer said.
Large selection of engines
Ford offers a wide range of engines for both vehicles: The four 1.6-liter petrol engines produce 77 kW / 105 PS to 134 kW / 182 PS. Those who prefer a diesel have the choice between two 1.6-liter diesel engines with 70 kW / 95 PS and 85 kW / 115 PS and three 2.0-liter units with a power range from 85 kW / 115 PS to 120 kW / 163 hp. The power is transmitted via a manual transmission with five or six gears. A six-speed automatic transmission is optionally available for some engines.
The C-Max is particularly economical with the smallest diesel: Ford specifies a consumption of 4.6 liters for the basic version (CO2 emissions: 119 g / km). In the Grand version, the car with the 1.6 l TDCi requires an average of 4.9 liters of fuel, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 129 g / km.
In the basic "Ambiente" version, both van variants have ABS, ESP and front, side and head airbags as standard. Electric windows and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors are also installed. The “Trend” version also has air conditioning, electric windows in the rear and a CD radio. Those who opt for the luxury version “Titanium” from 22,100 euros and the Grand C-Max from 23,600 euros also have folding tables, cruise control and a Bluetooth interface on board. Extras subject to surcharge are the reversing camera, assistants for parking and the monitoring of the blind spot as well as an electric tailgate. (dpa / tmn)
