Volvo will present a compact two-door at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September. The new model of the Swedes will have a glass tailgate.
Volvo will be showing its new compact two-door C30 for the first time at the Paris Motor Show (September 30th to October 15th). The Swedish manufacturer in Cologne announced that the car should be available from German dealers at the turn of the year. The most striking design features of the C30 are the glass tailgate with horseshoe-shaped taillights and the four individual seats inside.
Eight engines on offer
For the most compact Volvo model to date with a length of 4.25 meters there are a total of eight engines: On the one hand, there are five petrol units with a displacement of 1.6 to 2.5 liters and outputs between 74 kW / 100 PS and 162 kW / 220 PS. There are also three common-rail turbodiesels with standard particle filters, 1.6 to 2.4 liters displacement and 80 kW / 109 PS to 132 kW / 180 PS.

In addition, the C30 is equipped with side impact protection, various airbags and seat belt tensioners as well as a whiplash protection system. Volvo presented the concept study of the two-door at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year. The company has not yet provided any information on the prices for the production version.
Volvo has set high goals for its new model. Around 65,000 units of the C30 are expected to be sold worldwide every year. The Swedes expect around three quarters of sales to come from Europe with the main markets Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK.
