The Renault Vel Satis gets new engines. The French offer their sedans with the common rail turbodiesel 2.0 dCi. The new unit is available in two performance levels.
The French car manufacturer Renault is now also offering the common rail turbodiesel 2.0 dCi for the Vel Satis. The diesel engine is equipped with a soot particle filter as standard.
Two performance levels
The new unit is offered with 110 kW / 150 PS and 127 kW / 173 PS. As the French announced, the 2.0 dCi with 127 kW / 173 PS accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.5 seconds. The top speed is 211 km / h. The maximum torque of 360 Nm is 1750 rpm. According to the manufacturer, consumption averages 7.3 liters of diesel.
The 150 hp machine sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in 10.3 seconds. The top speed here is 200 km / h. Its consumption is also 7.3 liters. As part of the updated engine range, the Topdiesel 3.0 dCi is now also available with more power. The engine now brings 400 Nm at 1800 rpm. on the crankshaft. That is 50 Nm more than before. The output increases by 3 kW / 4 PS to 133 kW / 181 PS. The engine enables the top speed of 212 km / h and accelerates the Vel Satis from 0 to 100 km / h in 10.4 seconds.
