The Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker unveiled the C8 Aileron at the Geneva Motor Show. Aluminum construction, wheels in turbine design and full torque - a lot is offered technically and visually.
The Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker has unveiled the C8 Aileron super sports car at the Geneva Motor Show (March 6-16). The gullwing is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 engine with 298 kW / 400 hp from Audi.
The unit develops a maximum torque of 480 Newton meters and accelerates the 1425 kilogram two-seater to a top speed of 300 kilometers per hour (km / h). Power is transmitted either via a manual six-speed gearshift or a six-speed automatic.
Externally, the aluminum spaceframe construction of the C8 Aileron continues the brand's design language. There are elements such as the round side air inlets or the 19-inch wheels in turbine design. These details are intended to reference the company's history in the aviation industry. The super sports car also has LED headlights and taillights, ceramic brakes and an extensive audio and multimedia system on board. The company specifies the price for the version with manual transmission with at least 199,990 euros excluding taxes. (dpa / tmn)
