Volkswagen is streamlining the Golf program: the new Golf GT Sport now combines the previous GT and Sportline model series and brings numerous extras.
The new athlete from Wolfsburg competes with a sports chassis and 225 wide tires on 17-inch light alloy wheels. Two engines were available for the previous Golf GT. For the GT Sport there is a wider range of drives with five petrol and three diesel engines.
Prices from 20,725 euros
From the outside, the Golf GT Sport can be recognized by its 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights and a darkened rear side and rear window. In addition, the Wolfsburg-based company has equipped the model with an electric sliding and tilting glass roof and provided it with GT Sport lettering in the radiator grille. For the interior, VW relies on a sporty, dynamic look and lots of leather. The scope of equipment also includes the “Climatronic” air conditioning system and a multifunction display. The entry-level version is available from 20,725 euros. According to the manufacturer, the price advantage over a Golf with comparable additional equipment is around 1,500 euros.
