In Formula E, ten teams fight for overall victory in eleven races. With his second win of the season in Berlin, Di Grassi had apparently extended his lead in the overall standings before the racing committee lowered its thumbs. Six of the eight holes in the front wing were sealed, according to the stewards after the race.
The team itself justified the sealing with measures for repairs and also referred to paragraph 3.1 of the technical regulations of the world association FIA for Formula E. But the jury rejected the objection.
Thus Jerome D'Ambrosio from Dragon Racing made the jump from second to first place and is ten points ahead of di Grassi in the overall standings. Second is now Sébastien Buemi vin e.dams- Renaultahead of D'Ambrosio's team mates Loïc Duval and Nelson Piquet Jr. Nick Heidfeld from the Venturi team moved up to fifth place.
