The approximately 200 Daihatsu car dealers in Germany picked up a Charade demonstration vehicle at the Duisburg harbor. With the twin model of the Toyota Yaris, we went back to the individual bases with a rally.
Daihatsu starts the comeback of the Charade at the end of May. Around 200 car dealerships, around three quarters of the entire Daihatsu dealer network in Germany, picked up a demonstration vehicle especially for this purpose at the Duisburg port and returned to their bases by rally.
A goal to increase sales
"We were simply overwhelmed by the great response," said Atsuhiko Tanimoto, President of Daihatsu Deutschland GmbH, "especially in view of the difficult circumstances and the discontinuation of the European Daihatsu sales network announced for the beginning of 2013, we are very pleased with the sustained enthusiasm of the dealers for the brand and the new model."
The market launch of the Charade is scheduled for May 28th. The small car is offered in two versions. The price starts at 13,990 euros. "Thanks to the new model, we can look ahead to the rest of the year with confidence and assume that we will be able to slightly increase sales in 2011 as a whole compared to the previous year," said Matthias Heinz, Managing Director Daihatsu Germany.
