Brabus refines the Mercedes SL 600. Thanks to a biturbo engine and 730 hp, the twelve-cylinder becomes the most powerful roadster in the world.

Brabus gives the Mercedes SL 600 even more power. The tuning company from Bottrop has enlarged the already sporty roadster from 5.5 to 6.3 liters and installed a new turbo system. Thanks to the 537 kW / 730 PS that are now available, the Brabus SV12 S Biturbo twelve-cylinder engine can run at 100 kilometers per hour within seconds and reach a speed of 200 in 10.9 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 350 km / h.

Reinforced by 213 hp

The new turbo system is equipped with two larger chargers and more efficient intercoolers. In addition, the Brabus SV12 S biturbo displacement engine exhales more freely thanks to metal catalysts that lower the pressure. The power increases by a total of 213 hp with just 5,100 tours. At the same time, the maximum torque increases from the normal 830 Nm to 1,320 Nm from 2,100 rpm. In the car, the torque is electronically limited to 1,100 Nm by a specially tuned engine management map. This makes the roadster one of the most powerful sports cars in the world.

For the body of the vehicle, which has been lowered by 15 millimeters, a strikingly shaped front apron was developed which, thanks to its sophisticated design, reduces lift on the front axle. The large central air inlet also optimizes the cooling of the engine and front brakes.

Interchangeable aprons

On the one hand, the specially shaped side skirts ensure a particularly streamlined transition between the wheel arches. On the other hand, they are equipped with four LED lights on each side, which are activated by remote control or by pulling the door handle in the interior on the underside of the sill trims and illuminate the floor on the side of the vehicle. The rear apron was equipped with an integrated diffuser and, like the front apron, is designed as a replacement part.

The high-performance brake system with internally ventilated and perforated brake discs in mega format 375 x 36 mm and 12-piston fixed calipers at the front as well as internally ventilated and perforated 355 x 28 mm discs and 6-piston fixed calipers on the rear axle ensure a high level of safety.

The interior adapts to the high demands. From real carbon door sills with illuminated Brabus logo to ergonomically shaped sports steering wheels with a heated rim and steering wheel gearshift to a speedometer up to 360 km / h and a real carbon interior in various colors, nothing to be desired.
