Toyota Is Refreshing Three Model Series

For the new model year, the Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has redesigned three of its vehicle series. The Hiace panel van is completely new.

Toyota has revised the three model ranges Land Cruiser, Hiace and Hilux for the new model year. The Land Cruiser will receive a new 3.0 liter turbodiesel with 127 kW / 173 PS and 410 Newton meters of torque, the company announced in Cologne. The SUV accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h in 11.5 seconds. It reaches a top speed of 175 km / h and consumes an average of around 9 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. Toyota specifies CO2 emissions as 305 grams per kilometer. The new engine variant is available from around 45,830 euros.

Hiace now also as four-wheel drive

Another new addition to the range is an all-wheel drive version of the Hiace panel van, which is available from 22,134 euros. There is a choice of two turbo diesels with a displacement of 2.5 liters and 86 kW / 117 PS or 70 kW / 95 PS. Their maximum torque is 230 and 294 Newton meters. The top speed is 147 or 152 km / h. Toyota specifies consumption with an average of 8.5 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers and CO2 emissions with 224 g / km.

Telltale scoop

A new 3.0-liter turbodiesel with 126 kW / 171 hp and a torque of 343 Newton meters also complements the Hilux range. Depending on the gearbox, the car accelerates to a maximum of 170 or 175 km / h. According to Toyota, the new engine consumes an average of 8.3 liters per 100 kilometers. The CO2 emissions are 219 grams per kilometer. Externally, the new model year stands out with a new air scoop in the bonnet. The Hilux 3.0 D-4D is available from EUR 30,821. (dpa)
