RWE has made electric mobility a top priority. An electric column for the home should reduce reservations and make charging up with electricity more palatable.

With a new fast charging station for the garage at home, RWE wants to advance the electrification of private transport. With the box, electric cars can be supplied with energy three times faster than with a household socket.

Car plus electricity contingent

The Essen-based energy company presented a “Green Package” with the Bottrop-based tuner Brabus at the “Essen Motor Show”. For 123,000 euros, the buyer receives a refined Tesla Roadster with an electric drive and the private charging station and an electricity quota that should be sufficient for around 30,000 kilometers. Refueling at the RWE public pillars is also possible. The company has already installed over 160 public charging points in eight German city dwellers. The expansion is to be driven forward primarily in Berlin. The 500 mark will be exceeded there in the coming year. Another focus is NRW, where 400 fuel pumps will be set up.

Six hours of charging time

The range of the little speedster is given as around 400 kilometers. The Tesla's lithium-ion battery has an output of 215 kW / 292 hp and is good for a regulated top speed of 200 km / h. The sprint from zero to 100 km / h is done in 3.7 seconds. The charging time with the fast charging connection is estimated at six hours. (mid)
