After the end of the autumn vacation, it will also be quieter on the German highways. The ADAC mostly expects free travel next weekend.
According to ADAC, traffic will hardly come to a standstill on the weekend of November 11th to 13th. Now that the autumn holidays have come to an end in all federal states, the traffic club hardly expects any delays. In addition, fewer and fewer construction sites are hindering what happens on the highways. The number decreased from 420 to 360 construction sites.
Little traffic abroad, too
The following routes are the most intense:
• A 1 Bremen - Hamburg - Lübeck
• A 2 Dortmund - Hanover
• A 3 Würzburg - Frankfurt - Cologne
• A 4 Bad Hersfeld - Erfurt - Chemnitz
• A 5 Basel - Karlsruhe and Heidelberg - Darmstadt
• A 7 Ulm - Würzburg and Kassel - Hanover - Hamburg
• A 8 Karlsruhe - Stuttgart - Munich
• A 10 Berliner Ring
• A 11 Berlin - Stettin
• A 13 Dresden - Schönefelder Kreuz
• A 19 Rostock - Wittstock
• A 24 Schwerin - Hamburg
• A 45 Gießen - Hagen
• A 61 Ludwigshafen - Koblenz
• A 81 Heilbronn - Würzburg
Little is happening on the motorways in neighboring countries. There, too, there can only be short compulsory breaks due to construction work.
Weather-related disabilities
However, drivers should adapt to the changing season. Fog is also increasing, and there is also freezing moisture and snow. If you haven't done it yet, you should convert to winter or all-season tires now. Trips into the Alps should not be started without winter equipment.
In order to avoid possible traffic jams, use the traffic jam indicator of the Autogazette before starting your journey, which is updated every five minutes. (AG)
