Maserati provides the GranCabrio with a sporty version. The GranCabrio Sport makes its debut at the Geneva Motor Show and hints at the racing genes of yesteryear.

Maserati presents a new variant of the GranCabrio. A year and a half after the open four-seater made its debut at the IAA in Frankfurt, the GranCabrio Sport will celebrate its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show from March 3 to 13.

285 km / h top speed

The eight-cylinder naturally aspirated engine has an output of 331 kW / 450 PS and a torque of 510 Newton meters. The ZF automatic transmission with the particularly fast MC shift software of the Quattroporte Sport GT S promises quick gear changes. The sporty convertible can pull up to a top speed of 285 km / h. According to the manufacturer, the consumption of the rear-wheel drive vehicle was reduced by six percent.

The optics have also been sharpened. The trident on the radiator grille glows in red, the headlights are black with a light border. In addition, the new "Rosso Trionfale" color refers to the racing cars of the 1950s. In 1957 Juan Manuel Fangio won his fifth Formula 1 world championship title at the wheel of a red Maserati 250F. The new convertible will be available from summer, the company has not yet announced prices. (AG)
