VW rushes from record to record. A new delivery record for cars was set in May, and a new record was also announced after the first five months of the year.
Volkswagen cars are selling brilliantly. From January to May 2011, 2.09 million sales were made. This was the first time in five months that the two million mark was exceeded. May had a strong share in this, with 436,400 vehicles sold representing an increase in sales of 16.1 percent compared to the same month last year. "We continued our positive development in May and achieved a new delivery record," said Christian Klingler, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing of the Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, on Tuesday in Wolfsburg.
