From the outside, the Toyota Corolla TS Compressor reveals its power boost at first glance. Modified spoilers, aprons and a pithy twin tailpipe show that there is a lot going on under the bonnet. The development was once again in the hands of Cologne-based Toyota Motorsport GmbH, which also brings the Formula 1 racing cars to top performance. If that doesn't bode well?
Even the standard Corolla TS is not a linnet, but the compressor gives the sporty Asian even more steam on the front axle. Thanks to the manual forced ventilation, the 1.8-liter four-cylinder has 165 KW / 225 PS and power at least 33 horses and 50 Nm more power. The maximum torque is available at 3,600 rpm. The performance should also satisfy ambitious athletes - and athletes are ultimately intended for them.
Consumption remains within limits
0 to 100 km / h in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 235 km / h allows the Corolla TS Compressor to catch up with the strong compact competition from Germany. The consumption of around nine liters of super per 100 kilometers should be kept within limits.
Engine power alone is only half the road to success. The Corolla chassis was adapted to the increased power. Tight spring-damper combinations, a strut bar at the front and reinforcements in the rear should ensure that the sporty Toyota does not wobble. 17-inch rims with 215/45 tires are supposed to guarantee traction.
The Toyota Corolla TS Compressor will be available from dealers from March. The price: 29,700 euros. There are sports seats, sports steering wheel and leather gear knob inside to match the sporty exterior design. The Power Corolla is available as a three- and five-door model. The color palette ranges from red to gray to silver and black - pretty sporty.
