AC Schnitzer prepares the Mini Coupé for use on the racetrack. There was still no work on the engines.
AC Schnitzer has made the Mini Coupé sporty. The tuning specialist from Aachen has initially taken on the chassis of the fifth series of the BMW subsidiary, but performance increases on the engine of the "Mini Cooper SD Coupé and S Coupé are in preparation or planning," as the company announced.
Racing suspension and limited slip differential for Mini Coupé
The Mini Cooper Coupé was given a height-adjustable racing suspension, a special suspension spring set, an aluminum spring bridge and a special stabilizer for the rear axle.
A limited-slip differential with a locking effect of up to 75 percent is used to accelerate sportily out of tight corners. The sports exhaust system and the high-performance braking system can already be seen as anticipation of the later tuned engines, the sports rear silencer in stainless steel underlines the sporty appearance acoustically.
