The model range of the British BMW subsidiary Mini is being expanded further. "In the next few years we will have up to ten mini versions on the market," said brand boss Kay Segler of the "Financial Times Deutschland" (FTD). However, he did not want to comment on specific models.
Mini platforms merge with BMW

So far, the brand has offered a hatchback model and the corresponding convertible version, as well as a coupé, a station wagon, off-road vehicle and roadster as well as a small delivery van that will celebrate its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. A three-door SUV with coupé-like trains is to follow.
From 2013 the models of the British subsidiary will be based on the same platform as vehicles of the core brand BMW. By then at the latest, 300,000 Mini brand cars should be sold each year. Last year there were already 285,060 pieces. (dpa)
