The car paint is acutely endangered during the New Year's fireworks. Going to the paint shop is not always required, but forward-looking measures are usually more cost-effective.
Hearty fireworks are part of New Year's Eve like butter is part of bread. There is sometimes a rude awakening on New Year's morning when, after the bang the night before, traces of smoke, gunpowder residues and scratches from misdirected blasters and crashed rockets spread across the hood of the car. But that doesn't always mean going to the painter.
Garage protects
Many of the unwanted marks of the turn of the year can be removed from the paintwork with a polish and a soft cloth or a piece of polishing cotton. Deeper blows, on the other hand, should be treated with a touch-up pen in the vehicle color to avoid corrosion.
Prevention is, of course, better: If you don't have the opportunity to park your vehicle in a garage or under a carport, you should put a half garage, i.e. a mobile tarpaulin, over your vehicle. (mid)
