The Grödnerjoch and Jaufenpass in Italy and the Lech-Warth pass in Austria have now also been closed. In contrast, the Lucanier Pass in Switzerland is open again.
Weather conditions can change constantly
Because the weather in the Alps can change constantly, the ACE advises you to find out about the current traffic situation before driving. In addition, you should always take snow chains with you in the mountains at the moment.
The Lukmanier Pass in Switzerland is open again during the day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The pass road to the Austrian ski area Lech-Warth as well as Grödnerjoch and Jaufenpass in Italy are closed again. Chains are compulsory in Austria on the B 197 federal road between the Arlberg Pass and St. Anton.
