The trip to the winter sports areas will only be mastered with patience on the weekend from March 2nd to 4th. According to the ADAC, the returnees will also need a little more time.
Skiing and tobogganing are the order of the day in the winter sports areas. The ADAC expects heavy traffic to and from the Alps. The two-week spring break begins in Hamburg and one or the other day or weekend vacationer will take the trip to the mountains. On the return journey there will also be many vehicles with yellow license plates, as the holidays end in the northern parts of the Netherlands. The ADAC expects traffic jams and slow traffic on the following routes:
• Greater Hamburg
• A 1 Hamburg - Bremen - Dortmund
• A 3 Frankfurt - Würzburg - Nuremberg
• A 7 Hamburg - Hanover - Würzburg - Kempten
• A 8 Karlsruhe - Stuttgart - Munich - Salzburg
• A 9 Nuremberg - Munich
• A 93 Kufstein - Inntaldreieck
• A 95 Munich - Garmisch-Partenkirchen
• A 99 Munich bypass
And Austria, Switzerland and Italy are still heavily frequented. Waiting times have to be taken into account, especially on the Brenner motorway, the Gotthard tunnel and the Fernpass route.
