Porsche has completed the modernization of the GT3 series. After the turbo, the vacuum cleaner will also be presented at the IAA with a new look.
The revised Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be launched on the market in January as a puristic road-legal racing car. The lightweight version of the brand's most powerful naturally aspirated sports car is powered by a 3.8-liter boxer engine with 331 kW / 450 hp, which transfers its power to the rear wheels via an extra short manual six-speed gearbox. The sprint from zero to 100 km / h should be achieved in 4.0 seconds, the top speed is 310 km / h.
Starts at 145,871 euros
A carbon rear wing with aluminum supports, twin tailpipes and special bodywork add-on parts visually signal the racetrack origins of the homologation model for racing. A wider track on the rear and front axles ensures good road holding. New engine mounts automatically adapt to the driving situation, which should improve the connection of the engine to the body. The chassis also has specially adapted active shock absorbers. Sports tires with a width of nine or twelve inches make contact with the road.
In addition to doing without comfort equipment and the rear seat bench, an optionally available lithium-ion starter battery should also bring weight savings. It is around ten kilograms lighter than the standard lead-acid battery. The price of the bolide starts at 145,871 euros. (mid)
