Good news for drivers. According to a survey by the ADAC, fuel prices at German petrol stations have fallen significantly. A liter of Super E10 currently costs 2.4 cents less than in the previous week.

For a long time, fuel prices only knew one direction: namely upwards. Now drivers can be happy because the trip to the petrol station is now much cheaper for them. As the ADAC announced on Wednesday, the fuel prices have fallen significantly. The liter Super E10 currently costs a nationwide average of EUR 1.530, which is 2.4 cents less than in the previous week.

Question from Ms. Finn:

Hi! I have a question for Mr. Kessler and I would appreciate a quick answer. On TV he said about spare parts that you can buy parts that are new, but not original parts from different manufacturers. Does the specialist workshop have to install the part if I bring it myself? We are dealing with a timing belt for a Renault Megane Grandtour, 5 years old. Unfortunately, we are forced to go to the specialist workshop, as an independent workshop unfortunately does not have the appropriate tools.

Car pope Andreas Kessler answers:

Dear Mrs. Finn, you can do that! The prerequisite is, of course, that you come up with the right spare parts (i.e. those that match the vehicle and the defect). If these parts are also acceptable and of high quality, nothing stands in the way of a successful repair. If, however, a problem with the repair turns out due to poor quality of spare parts and you want to make use of the statutory warranty, you have two new problems: firstly, the installing workshop wants money again for their efforts and secondly, the spare parts supplier will accuse you of having them the parts are not installed properly. That is certainly not true, but you have to refute it. In the meantime, your car is defective at Renault's yard and costs "demurrage" there. A problem-free repair looks different….
